Merry Christmas

Just a quick note to wish you all a Merry Christmas from lovely Malakal!!!

I’m going to go to Juba for Christmas for one week but I will be back in Malakal for New Year’s Eve, which will be another experience to remember… Actually, many expatriates from the NGO and UN communities are staying in Malakal over the holidays. To help them “cope” with the isolation, the ones from Malakal who have already left to enjoy their holidays (and also sometimes the headquarters of certain organisations) have sent by plane a lot of food and booze… Things you can’t find in Malakal (you basicaly can’t find much anyway), that make you feel at home… I hope it’ll be the same in Juba! Otherwise, I’m going to regret not staying in Malakal, imagine that!

Allright, thanks to the contribution of my dear friends from Goal, I have new pictures of Malakal to show you. Some of them were taken during the rainy season, to give you an idea of how this place looks when there is nothing but water and mud everywhere. Enjoy…! And enjoy the holidays!
